Kodiveri dam

The Waterfalls formed by the downstream of Kodiveri Dam is a wonderful spot with nice views of the falls (close to the dam). Since the falls are not heavy, anyone can easily reach bottom of the falls and enjoy. Bathing & swimmings in the pool at bottom of the falls is a memorable experience. You can also get a wide variety of fishes to eat. Bobbing in the water on a coracle is one option, though the rate for a ride will depend on one’s capacity to bargain. The lake is 150 metres long and one can sit back to enjoy the grass scented breeze. Going in the coracle little interior, one can see fisherfolk in action, laying nets for the next morning’s catch. On the other end of the bank of Kodiveri, tourists would be tempted to snap off delicious looking green mangoes that hang tantalisingly close. Aliyar Dam

Aliyar Dam is a charming location surrounded by Anamalai Hills with wonderful natural views.   Aliyar Dam is located in the Anamalai Hills of the Western Ghats. It is about 65 kilometres from Coimbatore in Valparai Mainroad. From Pollachi is about 25kms. and From Valparai is about 40 Kms. In Aliyar Dam there is a park, garden, aquarium, play area, Boat House Park. Monkey Falls and The Temple of Consciousness are the tourist attractions. It is located between Pollachi and Valparai. Built across Aliyar River between 1959 and 1969, the primary purpose the dam is to support irrigation.The view of the Anamalai range around the reservoir is a feast for the eyes and the view of the coconut groves from top of the dam is amazing. Malampuzha Dam and Garden

Malampuzha, a little township on the foothills of the Western Ghats takes its name from the River Malampuzha. Nurtured by this tributary of Kerala's longest river, the Bharathapuzha, Malampuzha is a lush green town is a major tourist attraction for its trekking trails and the large irrigation dam. Around the reservoir of the dam are beautiful gardens and amusement parks. Boating facilities are available on the lake.
