G.D. Naidu Industrial Exhibition & Museum

G.D.Naidu (1893 – 1974) was an eminent inventor and industrialist from Coimbatore, India. What’s interesting about this inventor is he never studied more than the primary level! In fact, even at an young age, he hated the system so much that the threw mud in the face of his teachers (Twice. Back then, there were no slates but one needed to write using fingers on sand). So, naturally he was sent out of school and perhaps that should have been a very happy incident for our young G.D.Naidu! Kovai Kondattam

Kovai Kondattam   in Coimbatore is an amazing theme park for family and children in particular. It is located on the Perur – Siruvani main road and lies about 3 kms from the Perur temple. Black Thunder

Black Thunder   is a water theme park located in   Tamil Nadu ,   India . It is situated at the foot of   Nilgiris   near   Mettupalayam , in Coimbatore 40 km north of the city and occupies an area of about 75 acres (300,000 m 2 ). Palamalai Ranganathar Temple

Palamalai, is a small hill near near the sub-urban areas of Coimbatore. From the center of the city, it is located at around 25 KM distance. One needs to go to the Mettuppalayam Road, Periyanayakan Pirivu, Kovanoor and Palamalai. The roads are quite ok, and there was a road going over this small hill To Reach: Board any bus from Coimbatore ( Gandhipuram Moffusil Bus stand) and get down at Periya Nayakkan Palayam (LMW). From Periya Naicken Palayam, take a bus West to Kovanur (about 4kms) From Kovanur, a jeep (shared basis) will cost Rs. 10-Rs.20 to reach the hill temple ( 4kms) in about 20minutes. 1km from Kovanur, from the foot of the hill, there are also steps to walk up to the temple ( about 2kms- it will take about 45minutes to climb up the steps) Bus from Railway Station / Gandhipuram (Bus No. 32) at 5.30 am will take you to Kovanur by 6.4 5am. Velliangiri- Spritual Night Trek
